To be ethical in coffee bean sourcing means reducing the number of steps from the grower to your doorstep.
And to start, I’m working with ethical suppliers that work directly with farms to ensure that growers get a fair price for their produce. This means that the growers, their staff, and their families get paid correctly and treated fairly.
In turn, you can be sure that the path from the crop to your cup means everyone is happy.
Eventually, the aim is to go direct to the farm. But I have to start somewhere, and having fairness at the heart of what I do is the best way to go.
It’s not just marketing. It matters.
